Collaborations

Since the inception of the Centre for Human Progress in 2014, there has been two major collaborations with other institutions in the area of mental health recovery.

The first is an inter faith collaboration, initiated and sponsored by Sanctuary Mental Health Ministries and funded by the Vancouver Foundation.

The second is a Persian television mini series by Persian Baha’i Media Service.

This inter faith collaboration created a tool to raise awareness and to start healthy conversations within faith communities about mental health, with the aim of increasing inclusion and support for those who suffer from mental health challenges and their care givers from their respective faith communities.

The project involved members of 6 different faith groups who worked closely over a two year period 2015-2016. This web-page was created as a model, and the hope is to create a more comprehensive version when funding becomes available.

There was a collaboration with Persian Baha’i Media Services (PBMS), in the summer of 2015. This 4 part mini series helps the viewer to discover solutions in their current circumstances. It also develops awareness and offers a possibility of shift in the viewer about how they can create better relationships by noticing their own impact, through guided experiential exercises.

A second collaboration with Persian Baha’i Media Services (PBMS), produced in September 2016. The Persian television mini series called صدای دیگر, implying ‘the higher voice’, addresses anxiety, depression and compulsive behaviour through taking the viewer through experiential exercises and exploration of spiritual and practical topics.  Some of the root causes of anxiety, depression and compulsive behaviour are identified. The viewer is led in experiential exercises to finds their own higher voice which helps them to begin to effect a change at the root causes of these mental ailments.
